‘The Jump’ is a stylish and unique silk pocket square with hand-sewn hem, inspired by skiing. It was created in collaboration with artist Miki de Goodaboom and is presented in a complimentary gift box. Design & Inspiration ‘The Jump’ is a stylish and unique full-size silk pocket square and has been created in collaboration with contemporary French artist Miki de Goodaboom. She loves to paint everything, with every technique from traditional through to digital and sometimes mixing them all. Miki particularly enjoys sporting art with its challenges of capturing movement as well as time and space in two-dimensional form. Above all else, Miki’s painting reflects her life, in particular the use of vibrant colours expressing her passion for life. Miki’s original is a mixed technique skiing artwork. ‘The Jump’ had twin inspirations. Firstly, the inherent struggle in all sport against others, against the elements, against oneself from which human achievement stems. Secondly, it was the dream of flying and with it freedom, if only for a moment, as the skier launches himself into the air. The artwork is reproduced with a good balance of colour between the printed and reverse sides of the silk pocket square so works perfectly with any pocket square fold. The image is framed by the pocket square’s blue border and red hand-rolled & hand-sewn hem. 'The Jump' is presented in a complimentary Otway & Orford branded gift box with its blueberry-coloured lid and pale blue base. Inside each box, the high-quality skiing silk pocket square is tissue-wrapped and accompanied by a card telling the story of the artist and her vibrant artwork. Size Full-size silk pocket square, 42cm x 42cm (16.5” x 16.5”). Dimensions may vary slightly following the printing and manufacturing process as silk is a natural material. Material Composition & Care High-quality 100% Mulberry silk woven into 15oz silk twill gives the characteristic sheen and cool touch as well as ensuring the pocket square sits nicely in the top pocket. Silk should always be dry cleaned. Avoid pressing the hand-finished hem to preserve its distinctive 'shoestring' shape.
