‘A Beautiful Jigsaw’ is a stylish and unique silk pocket square with hand-sewn hem, inspired by the RAF's last serving Vulcan aircraft. It was created in collaboration with aviation artist David Bent and is presented in a complimentary gift box. Made in England. Printed and manufactured with hand-finishing in Macclesfield Cheshire, the traditional home of English silk printing in England. Design & Inspiration ‘A Beautiful Jigsaw’ is a stylish and unique full-size silk pocket square and has been created in collaboration with leading aviation artist David Bent. His geometric shapes, bold colours, authentic detail and Boy’s Own bravado bring aviation and modern art together for a celebration of flight. The original photocollage was inspired following an invitation to David to see Vulcan XH558 during its restoration. This aircraft entered service in 1960 during the Cold War, performing a variety of different roles during its service, and was the last remaining Vulcan in the RAF when it was finally retired in 1993. XH558 last flew in 2015 and is now an inspiring visitor attraction. The artwork is reproduced with a good balance of colour between the printed and reverse sides of the silk pocket square so works perfectly with any pocket square fold. The image is framed by the pocket square’s pale yellow border and grey hand-rolled & hand-sewn hem. 'A Beautiful Jigsaw' is presented in a complimentary branded gift box with its blueberry-coloured lid and pale blue base. Inside each box, the high-quality aviation silk pocket square is tissue-wrapped and accompanied by a card telling the story of the artist and his vibrant artwork. Size Full-size silk pocket square, 42cm x 42cm (16.5” x 16.5”). Dimensions may vary slightly following the printing and manufacturing process as silk is a natural material. Material Composition & Care High-quality 100% Mulberry silk woven into 15oz silk twill gives the characteristic sheen and cool touch as well as ensuring the pocket square sits nicely in the top pocket. Silk should always be dry cleaned. Avoid pressing the hand-finished hem to preserve its distinctive 'shoestring' shape.
